The Citizens for the Preservation of Waterman Lake (CPWL) is a non-profit organization that was incorporated in 1970 by some very forward-looking individuals.  CPWL exists to insure the that the lake will be kept in the best condition it can be.  We are responsible for monitoring water quality as well as the maintenance and upkeep of the dam, spillway, and gatehouse.

Each year hundreds of residents and visitors enjoy the Lake for a wide range of recreational activities including boating, fishing, swimming, golfing, dining, or just enjoying the view of the water with friends and family.

Over the last 20 years, RI statutes have been updated. We are required to follow a much more stringent set of regulations than in the past with respect to upkeep of the dam and the lake. CPWL  needs to repair specific areas of the dam, as well as address continuing issues with algae blooms.

All proceeds donated will directly support the preservation of Waterman Lake. Donations to CPWL are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. CPWL is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization under IRS regulations. CPWL’s tax id number is 05-0393687
